This portal stores information only for signed-in students and their connected mentor. Students cannot see each other’s records. Student Launch does not sell information or use it for advertising.
The portal can store Google account identity details, a profile image, motivation, goals, assignments, completion history, meeting requests, messages, weekly notes, notifications, and the connection status for companion tools. Avoid passwords, patient information, medical records, financial details, or other sensitive documents.
Records are protected in transit over HTTPS and in Cloudflare’s hosted data services. Session cookies are HTTP-only and secure over HTTPS. Server-side permission checks restrict each student to their own information and connected mentor. Rate limits and input limits reduce misuse. No system can promise perfect security.
Student Launch can prepare a dated assignment or approved meeting in a Google Calendar page for you to review. The portal does not request permission to read, edit, or store your Google Calendar. Student Launch only opens Google Calendar after you choose “Open in Google Calendar,” and you decide whether to save the prepared event.
Google Meet links are stored only when a mentor adds one to a meeting. Students may choose to connect Hourly or PreHealth Path using the same verified Google email. The portal then reads a limited progress summary, such as recent Hourly check-ins or counts from PreHealth Path. It does not copy passwords, documents, detailed health records, or private school entries. Students can disconnect either tool at any time.
OpenAI Codex assisted Luc Tran with building, reviewing, and testing the portal’s code. Codex does not automatically receive portal records simply because it helped create the portal.
You can download a portable backup or permanently delete your portal account in Settings. Account deletion removes the account and its portal data. Keep any downloaded backup under your own control.
